The Bard women's lacrosse team came up short in its visit to North Country against Clarkson on Sunday afternoon, 20-3.
Clarkson took an early lead scoring seven goals in the first ten minutes of the game. The Raptors ended the Knights run with a goal by
Gwendolyn Jamison. Bard continued to claw back receiving a third-quarter goal from
Izzi Popolizio, her thirteenth goal of the season.
Gloria Tucker scored in the final seconds of the game for her first goal of the season.
Several Raptors made contributions with groundball pickups, including
Ella Perreault,
Maggy Peyton,
Morgan Ruhle,
Lexie Blackburn and Jamison. Popolizio finished with a goal, an assist, and a draw control.
Maya Junkins and Ruhle each had three draw controls.
Lexie Blackburn had 10 saves.
Bard will play Centenary in the team's Pride Night game this Tuesday on Ferrari Field at 5:30 p.m.
