Gallery: (3-30-2024) Women's Lacrosse vs St. Lawrence
ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - The Bard College women's lacrosse team fell to St. Lawrence, 18-4, in their fourth conference match on Saturday afternoon at Ferrari Field.
The Raptors had four different players record goals with
Emerson Embrey scoring Bard's first goal on a free position shot in the 11th minute of the first quarter. Embrey also finished with two ground balls, two caused turnovers, and three draw controls. Bard received their second goal from
Izzi Popolizio with nine minutes left in the first quarter to keep the game close.
Gwendolyn Jamison's goal ended the Saint's run going into the end of the third quarter and
Maggy Peyton finished the game with an unassisted goal with three minutes left after a physical fourth quarter.
Izzi Popolizio's goal was her fourteenth of the year and she also contributed an assist on Jamison's goal.
Maya Junkins led the Raptors in draw controls with four and tied with
Morgan Ruhle and Embrey with two grounds balls in the game. Raptors
Gloria Tucker,
Paige Gregg,
Nashua Poreda, and
Gwyn Downey also picked up a ground ball each. Lexi Blackburn finished the game with six saves.
Bard will be back at Ferrari Field next Friday as the Raptors take on RIT at 5 p.m. for Senior Night.
