ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. — The Bard men's basketball team dropped a 72-51 decision against RPI on Friday night in a Liberty League matchup at Stevenson Athletic Center.
Bard (12-10, 7-8 Liberty League) had two players in double-digit points with senior
Heston Tucker leading the team with 13, followed by classmate
Rowan Heinze with 12 points. Tucker added four rebounds and an assist, while Heinze had a career-high six assists. Senior
Elliot Harris added nine points, while junior
Sean Wilcox had a team-high seven rebounds and a career-high four steals.
The Raptors struggled to get their offense going from three-point range, only shooting 23.8 percent, compared to RPI (14-8, 11-4), who shot 46.4 percent from deep. The Engineers were led by Johnny Angbazo, who had 15 points in the first half and shot 6-of-7 from the floor.
Bard will return to action tomorrow when the team hosts Hobart for Senior Day at 4 p.m. The Raptors will be celebrating their eight seniors before the game.
