The Bard College women's basketball team fell to Ithaca at Ben Light Gymnasium in the second of back-to-back road Liberty League games.
Along with leading all players in scoring and threes made,
Aislynn Dixon led the Raptors in rebounding with five.
Erin Tobes led the team with three assists and added a steal.
Tianna Gonzalez added eight points and three rebounds in 19 minutes.
Maggy Peyton and
Shirley Dong each had four rebounds, and Peyton added six points.
Four different Raptors scored in the game's opening minutes, as Bard gained an 8-2 advantage. Bard led the offensive rebounding battle 4-1 through the first quarter. Nevertheless, the Bombers scored 14 straight points spanning the rest of the first quarter and a minute of the second. Bard was down by as much as 15 points but was within 11 at halftime.
In the third quarter, Dixon led the Raptors in scoring, with eight points off two threes and a layup. Bard held Ithaca to 41.2% shooting from the field in the fourth quarter and made eight free throws as they drew nine fouls down the stretch.
The Raptors limited Ithaca's total points leader, Emma Waite, to just five points in the game, her lowest of the season.
Bard opens its home conference slate against Union on Dec. 12 at 5:30 p.m.
