ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. -- The Bard College women's basketball team fell to Union at Stevenson Athletic Center in their annual Pink Out game on Thursday night.
Erin Tobes led the team with nine points on 4-of-11 shooting. She also had six rebounds, an assist, and a steal.
Lexi Miller led the team in rebounds, with 10, and scored six points.
Jessica Martin led the team with two assists,
Shirley Dong had an assist to go with four rebounds, and
Aislynn Dixon grabbed two boards along with scoring five points.
Melina Koulouri made a runner with 5:58 to go in the game to score her first collegiate points from the field.
Union opened the game on a 12-0 run and held a double-digit lead for most of the game. The Raptors primarily worked in the paint, scoring ten of their 13 first-half points in the interior. Union had seven turnovers in the half to Bard's six. However, Union turned it into eight points, while Bard converted one point off of Union's turnovers.
In the second half, Miller led the Raptors in scoring – with the offense searching for answers, the Raptors looked inside. Bard held Union to 31.3% shooting from the field in the third quarter, and the Raptors got to the line for eight free throws in the fourth.
Bard heads to South Hadley, MA on January 4th to face Mount Holyoke at 2:00 p.m.
