Gallery: (12-6-2024) Women's Basketball at RIT
The Bard College women's basketball team dropped their conference opener against RIT, falling 82-50 on Friday night at Clark Gymnasium.
Bard had three players in double-digit points, including a team-high of 16 points from
Erin Tobes. It is her third consecutive game with double-digit points.
Shirley Dong had 12 points and shot 4-of-7 from behind the arc.
Aislynn Dixon added 11 points, three rebounds, and a team-high of two steals. Tobes had a team-high five rebounds and three assists.
Bard opened up the scoring with a three-pointer from Dong, but RIT answered back, going on a 9-0 run in four minutes to take the lead. The Raptors closed the gap in the second quarter as Bard went on a 10-3 run to reduce the deficit to 21-24. A time-out called by the RIT turned the momentum around as the Tigers answered back with a 10-0 run to take a 34-21 lead.
In the second half, RIT took control of the game and held Bard to 11 points each quarter.
The Raptors continue their road conference games as they take on Ithaca tomorrow at 2 p.m.
