Washington started off hot, taking a 16-10 lead after eight minutes of play. The Raptors trailed by as many as 12 points in the first half, but they went on an 11-4 run to only trail by five points entering halftime.

Both teams were back and forth in the second half, with Bard not trailing by more than five points in the first three minutes of the half. Tied at 37-37 at 14:04, Washington went on a 7-0 run in a three-minute stretch, but back-to-back three-pointers from Panagiotounis and a free-throw made by Almodovar tied the game up at 44-44.
