Five Raptors finish with double-digit points

Bard senior Elliot Harris became the 10th men's basketball player in Raptors history to reach 1,000 career points during the Raptors' 89-65 triumph at Clarkson on Saturday afternoon.

Bard had five players in double-digit points, including four starters. Senior Rowan Heinze had a near-double-double with 22 points and nine rebounds, adding two assists and a block. Junior Sean Wilcox hit a career-high 20 points and grabbed eight boards while tying his career-high in blocks with four.

Harris scored 15 points - reaching 1,000 on one of his trademark three-pointers early in the second half - and grabbed six boards while dishing out four assists. Senior Lazaros Panagiotounis had 11 points and added five rebounds, while senior Azriel Almodovar had a season-high 13 rebounds and a team-high five assists. Heston Tucker added 12 points and six rebounds, shooting 5-of-8 from the floor.

Bard outshot Clarkson 34-24 from the floor with 50.7 percent shooting, a season-high for the Raptors. The Raptors also shot 41 percent from the three-point range, shooting 11-of-27, and a season-high 55 rebounds.

Bard will stay on the road next week, competing against Vassar on Friday night at 7:30 p.m.
