ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. — First-years
Jessica Martin and
Lexi Miller hit new career highs to help propel the Bard College women's basketball team to victory against Mount Holyoke, 45-36, on Tuesday night at Stevenson Athletic Center.
Bard (4-5) had four players with at least six or more points, including Martin, who had a career-high 13 points. She shot 5-of-8 from the field and added a rebound and an assist. Miller led the team with a career-high 15 rebounds and added six points, three assists and two blocks.

Maggy Peyton and sophomore
Shirley Dong had six points each. First-year
Aislynn Dixon stuffed the stat sheet with five points, four rebounds, three assists, two blocks and a steal. Fellow first-year
Ella Perreault had six rebounds, three steals and two points. Sophomore
Alleisha Romain played in her first game of the season and had two points and an assist.
Mount Holyoke (1-10) outrebounded the Raptors 47-37. Bard outshot the Lyons 32.3-25.0 percent from the field and also had its fewest turnovers of the season with 15. The Raptors defense forced the Lyons to commit 22 turnovers and to shoot 2-of-11 from three-point range.
Bard will be back on Liberty League play this weekend, starting with Clarkson on Friday at 5:30 p.m.
