ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. – The Bard College women's swimming splits Saturday afternoon's tri-meet, defeating York 97-12 and falling to Brooklyn 114-83 at Stevenson Pool.
The Raptors won six individual events and one relay. Junior
Martha Gomez broke her personal best in the 1000-yard and 500-yard freestyle. Gomez finished third in the 500 freestyle with a time of 9:36.28. Fellow junior
Olivia Dower, won both her events, while senior
Gaius Forsyth won the 200 backstroke and placed second in the 1000 freestyle.
First year
Tai Fontes-Janusz won the 50 freestyle and came second in the 200 breaststroke with a new personal best of 3:03.32. Senior Najama Sael swam in her first-ever event for Bard in the 50 freestyle. Sophomore
Yolanda Liu won both her events.
This concludes Bard's home events for the season. The Raptors will travel to Purchase on Wednesday for a dual meet at 6 p.m.
