The Bard College women's team dropped a pair of matches on the opening day of the Buttermaker Tournament held at Muhlenberg College on Friday afternoon.
Bard compiled 50 kills over the course of the two matches with seniors
Ryan Lum and
Emily Hall Smith leading the team. Lum had 14 kills and 24 digs, while Smith had 13 kills and two blocks.
First-year
LaeAnna Riley had a career-high four blocks against Muhlenberg.
In the matchup against Bluffton, the Raptors were two sets down but fought hard to win the third set, 25-19. Senior
Adi David had 25 assists and an ace, while Lum had her second double-double of the season with 10 kills and 14 digs.
Bard will be back in action tomorrow against Lebanon Valley at noon and Ursinus at 2 p.m.
