Men’s track turns in strong performances at Cortland

CORTLAND, NY – The Bard men's track and field team participated in the Cortland Upstate Alternative as the team continues to work toward the Liberty League Championships in early May.

Among the highlights on Saturday were the three competitors in the 1500 who finished within four seconds of one another, led by Jack Keelan in 4:24.09, and followed closely by Reed Campbell and Clemente Esponilla. The 800 was similar, with Nic Soucy, Graeme Lauterbach-Mason, and Bo Hopwood all within just over five seconds.

CeDaniel Sumpter ran a wind-aided 11.58 in the 100m and Hosam Jawabra set a PR in the same event.

Bard will be at Trinity College in Hartford, Conn. next weekend. The Liberty League Championships take place in Rochester on May 5 and 6.
