WAPPINGERS FALLS, NY – The Bard women's tennis team faced William Smith in Liberty League action on Friday night, with the Herons winning the match 9-0.
 
The match was played indoors in Wappingers Falls, having moved from Bard due to weather.
 
At #2 singles, Maya Kelly battled and took five games off her opponent, and several other Raptors won games throughout the ladder. Kelly and Nico Gusac took three games at #1 doubles, and the #2 doubles pair of Bella Ries and Paige Houghton took a pair of games off their competitors.
 
Bard will return to action quickly, facing Ithaca on Sunday in another Liberty League match. The competition against Pratt, originally scheduled for Saturday, was canceled due to weather.
