ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. -
Sarah Child had a pair of goals and
Izzi Popolizio had a goal and an assist as the Bard women's lacrosse team lost to Hartwick 20-5 on Wednesday evening at Ferrari Field.
The game, originally scheduled to take place in Oneonta, was moved to Bard after the snowstorms caused issues with Hartwick's field. Despite the cold temperatures, both teams competed hard in what was the Raptors' second game in three days.
"We continue to work hard together and we keep moving forward," said coach
Mike Galantich. "The team is trusting in the process, their coaches and each other."Â
In addition to Child and Popolizio,
Lily Clough and
Maggy Peyton also scored goals.
Lexie Blackburn made seven saves in the Bard net, and sophomore goalie
Martha Pasatiempo also played, making her season debut.
The Raptors will open Liberty League play this weekend, hosting Skidmore on Saturday at 1pm at Ferrari Field.
