ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - The Bard men's volleyball team earned a 3-1 win over Medgar Evers on Saturday afternoon at Stevenson Athletic Center, with a number of players contributing to a strong team effort.
The Raptors coasted to a 25-16 victory in the first game, but the next three were tight, with Bard winning the second set 26-24, dropping the third 22-25, and capturing the match with a 25-21 win in the fourth.
Ty McGlynn and
Angel Obergh were the primary offensive weapons for Bard, with 16 and 14 kills respectively, but a number of other players had strong outings.
Calvin Mader-Clark had 5 kills without an error, and
Isaiah Ortiz and
Logan Tondini each had four kills.
Georgi Chikolov had 44 assists in the match, as well as four aces.Â
Obergh also pitched in with 10 digs, McGlynn had 9, and
Quinn Lewis added 5 on the defensive side.Â
Bard will return to action for a league match in the NEVC on Tuesday evening at Stevenson Athletic Center, hosting Endicott College at 6pm.
