ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. – The Bard men's tennis team earned a victory in its first home match of 2023, topping SUNY Delhi 9-0 on Friday afternoon.
The Raptors dominated throughout the ladder, starting with 8-0 victories at #1 doubles (
Kai O'Donnell and
Thanasis Kostikas) and #2 doubles (
Sam Gerber and
Drew Soleiman), and #3 doubles (
Augustin Johnson and
Henry Wandover).
In singles play, the Raptors were similarly strong, with four players winning their matches without dropping a game:
Noah Gulla at #1, Soleiman at #4, Gerber at #5, and
Yashar Khan at #6. Kostikas took a 6-0, 6-1 victory at #2 and O'Donnell won 6-0, 6-2 at #3.
Bard will return to action quickly, with both the men's and women's teams traveling to RIT on Saturday for a league match against the Tigers.
