ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - The Bard College men's soccer team posted a 3-0 win against Cobleskill State in a home non-conference match on Tuesday evening.
Bard (6-6-2) opened with its first goal in the 39th minute of the game coming off a penalty kick from Emmet Olson. Cobleskill State (4-10-2) was kept to zero shots in the first half as the Raptors controlled the ball from start to finish to lead at the half, 1-0.
The Raptors continued their aggressive attack in the second half, but were unable to add to their lead until the 81st minute when
Henry Skeltis beat a Cobleskill defender to the ball and passed to Frankie Perrera-Modica who finished from close range. Just 19 seconds later,
Cole Ewalt added the Raptors' third goal, shooting past two Fighting Tiger defenders and goalkeeper Joe Willie.
Cobleskill had an opportunity to score with a shot on goal from defender Garrett Aikins, but Bard goalkeeper
Gavin Hersey made the save. Bard outpaced Cobleskill 11-1 in shots on goal and had a 7-0 advantage in corner kicks.
Bard will wrap up the season with a final Liberty League match against Skidmore on Saturday at 2 p.m. at Ferrari Field.
