ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - The Bard College women's soccer team lost to Clarkson University, 3-1, in a Liberty League match on Friday afternoon.
A goal in the 29th minute gave Clarkson (2-3-0) an early lead, and although the Golden Knights continued their aggressive, offensive attack, Bard (0-4-1) limited Clarkson to two shots to end the half. To start the second half, Clarkson scored two back-to-back goals in the 56th and 61st minutes to go up 3-0. Bard received a shot on goal from
Sierra Celiberti, but the shot was saved by Clarkson's goalkeeper Molly DiCaprio. A Clarkson foul led to Bard's first goal of the game off a penalty kick from
Kylie Quinn.
Seymone Rosenberg made six saves for Bard. Clarkson had the advantage in shots on goal (9-3) and corners (7-2).
Bard will look to bounce back when the team faces St. Lawrence University on Saturday at 2 PM.
