ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - The Bard College women's swimming team lost to William Paterson University, 97-75, in its final home meet of the 2022-23 season on Saturday.

Sophomore Olivia Dower broke the school record in the 200-fly by 20 seconds.

"Olivia's swim was tremendous," Bard coach John Weitz said. "It was the first time she swan that event in college and she was nervous about it all week. But she did a great job preparing for it and really swam the race just as she had planned."

Seniors Juliette Zicot and Una Winn were honored as they swam their final meet at home.

"I am proud to have spent this time with them," Weitz said, "and I know they will both take the lessons they learned as athletes and become leaders wherever they go. They will be sorely missed, but our team is much better due to their consistent support and leadership."

Bard next completes at the Skidmore Sprint Invitational next week.
