ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - The Bard College men's soccer team defeated SUNY Canton, 1-0, in a non-league game on Saturday morning.
The Raptors dominated possession and scoring opportunities, outshooting the Roos, 24-9.
The only goal of the game came in the 24th minute, when
Dylan Jung took a ball at the right corner of the box, turned unside and struck a bending shot with his left foot which hit the upper corner just inside the far post. It was a beauty.
The Raptors had numerous opportunities to score over the course of the afternoon, but Canton hung in there, even getting a team save by a defender on a blast by
Caleb Ribeiro in the second half. Ribeiro produced eight shots himself, and four were on goal.
Gavin Hersey made three saves as the Raptors produced a clean sheet.
Bard's next three games are on the road, beginning at Anna Maria College on Thursday.
