ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - The Bard College women's volleyball team lost to Russell Sage College, 3-2, in a non-league game on Tuesday night.
Sage prevailed 22-25, 25-22, 25-19, 25-21 and 15-13.
"It was a real rollercoaster," Bard coach
Lindsey Veersma said. "It was a good battle to get us prepared for conference play this weekend."
Bard got 17 kills and 21 digs from
Ryan Lum.
Adi David had 43 assists, to go with six kills and four digs.
Ella Small set a new career high with 25 digs, as did
Abi Batingan, who had 12 digs in her first start.
Annie Couey had 10 digs and six aces;
Emily Hall Smith added 12 kills and four digs.
Bard starts Liberty League play on Friday and Saturday, at home against Clarkson and St. Lawrence, respectively.
