ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - The Bard College women's soccer team lost to Union College, 1-0, in the Liberty League opener for both teams on Tuesday night.

A goal in the 41st minute gave Union a lead into halftime, and although the Dutchwomen enjoyed an edge in shots and corners, Bard nearly equalized in the 78th minute. A foul just outside the box gave Abby Frazier a direct kick, and she got it over the wall of defenders, over the keeper, and it hit the crossbar. That was the Raptors' best scoring opportunity.

Seymone Rosenberg made seven saves for Bard.

Bard is back home again on Saturday for a Liberty League game against RPI.
