ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - The Bard College men's soccer team shut out Sarah Lawrence College, 2-0, in a non-league game on Saturday afternoon.
Bard dominated throughout, and scored both goals 65 seconds apart in the first half. A scramble off a corner resulted in one shot hitting the post, another being blocked, and the rebound popped right out to first year
Johannes Meyer, who deposited a shot into the upper left hand corner of the net for a 1-0 lead in the 18th minute.
Another scramble near the top of the box a minute later gave
Calvin Moe an opportunity to head a pass to
Caleb Ribeiro, who avoided one defender as he moved laterally across the front of the goal, and he scored to the far post to make it 2-0.
Bard outshot Sarah Lawrence 26-4 on the day.
Gavin Hersey made two saves.
The Raptors start Liberty League play at RPI on Sept. 24.
