POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - Bard College sophomore
Jack Keelan qualified for the 800 meter finals on Friday, the first day of the Liberty League Championships at Vassar College.
Keelan was second in his preliminary heat and qualified third for the final, which will be held on Saturday afternoon.
"It was a great day for Bard track & field," Bard coach Billy Poole-Harris said. "Everybody had a personal record or got very close to a personal record.
Angel Ramirez fell at the finish line and was covered with track, but he still PR'd.
CeDaniel Sumpter had a PR, too.
There is some rain in the forecast for Saturday, the final day of the meet.
"The weather is going to be a factor, but I'm confident we are up to the task," Poole-Harris said. "Everybody ran well. It's going to be an amazing day."
