ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - The Bard College women's tennis team lost to St. Lawrence University and Plattsburgh State on Saturday.
Bard lost a Liberty League match to St. Lawrence, 9-0; then coaches decided to move a match scheduled for Sunday against Plattsburgh to late afternoon Saturday because of Sunday's forecast. The visiting Cardinals prevailed, 9-0.
"We played a lot of good points against St. Lawrence, and Victoria Bagatchelon played a long, intense match," Bard coach Roge Nesbitt said. "I really liked that our team was there cheering her on at the end, because it was the last match.
"Against Plattsburgh,
Maya Kelly played a very good match," Nesbitt said. "
Marsela Doko also played a close match. Playing two matches in one day isn't easy and I applaud our women for playing hard until the end."
Bard next hosts RIT in a Liberty League match on Saturday, Apr. 9.
