ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - The Bard College women's lacrosse team lost to Rochester Institute of Technology, 20-10, in a Liberty League game on Saturday afternoon.
Bard's 10 goals were the most the Raptors have scored in a Liberty League game since 2016.
Rachael Yoder and
Sab Pavlin scored three goals apiece in a game that was tied, 3-3, after one quarter.
"I'm proud of the team's efforts today as we work toward playing a more complete game," Bard coach
Rachel Vallarelli said.
Yoder added four ground balls and three caused turnovers;
Gillian Adkins collected five draw controls;
Emma Heffron scored and added four ground balls and three caused turnovers.
Roxanne Rouskas made 12 saves.
"We have to keep working to have better opportunities on attack," Vallarelli said, "and to work on limiting shots against our defense moving forward."
Although it wasn't Bard's final home game, the Raptors held Senior Day for
Gillian Adkins,
Roxanne Rouskas,
Emma Heffron and
Rachael Yoder. Their contributions to the program were detailed in comments and a ceremony with family members after the game.
Bard next hosts 25th-ranked St. Lawrence on Apr. 2.
