ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The Bard College men's swimming team wrapped up competition at the Don Richards Invitational, hosted by Rochester Institute of Technology, on Saturday.

"Freddy Coronel topped off a great weekend for the men's team with his 200-fly," Bard coach John Weitz said. "He was out a little too fast for the first 100, but held on in the second half to break our team record. It was a very gutsy swim, but it leaves room for significant improvement at the conference championships in February."

Coronel's 2:07.70 was almost two seconds faster than Bard's previous best in the 200-fly.

Bard's next meet is at Brooklyn College on Jan. 14.
