TROY, N.Y. - Bard College first year Artemy Mukhin has been named the Liberty League Men's Squash Rookie of the Week, it was announced Monday.

Mukhin, who was the Liberty League Performer of the Week last week, went 3-0 at the No. 1 position at the Bard Round Robin on Saturday.

To start the day, he defeated Vassar junior Rithik Jalali in four games. Then he took on UConn's Daniyal Athar, and he was up 7-0 in the fifth game when Athar defaulted. Mukhin finished the day with a three-game sweep of Swarthmore's Paris Shan.

Mukhin is in the Bard Conservatory, where he is studying music composition. His major outside of that is Economics.
