ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - The Bard College women's tennis team lost to Hunter College, 9-0, in a non-league match on Saturday afternoon.
Unbeaten Hunter started the day by taking all three doubles matches, but the Raptors battled, taking three games at No. 1 (
Maya Kelly/
Paige Houghton), five games at No. 2 (
Bella Ries/
Lapis Dove), and six games at No. 3 (Victoria Bagathcholon/
Izzi Popolizio).
Maya Kelly nearly won the first set against her opponent at No. 1 singles, and
Paige Houghton lost a first-set tiebreaker at No. 4 singles.
This was the last match of the fall portion of the 2022-23 season for Bard. The Raptors next play Vassar in February.
