ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - The Bard College men's soccer team lost to Rochester Institute of Technology, 2-1, in a Liberty League game on Saturday afternoon.
It was the final home game for six Bard seniors -
Kristian Krslovic,
Nic Soucy,
Coe Trevorrow,
Dylan Jung,
Min Purvis and
Henry McCullers - and they were honored by their teammates before the game.
RIT jumped out early, scoring a header off a corner in the 14th minute. But Bard equalized in the 19th minute. A corner was punched toward the other corner by the RIT goalie, and as he pursued it, Trevorrow headed it back into the goalmouth, where it was put in by an RIT defender for an own goal.
It remained 1-1 at halftime.
RIT scored just over two minutes into the second half, then hung on.
Gavin Hersey made six saves for the Raptors. Bard has two games left on the 2022 schedule, at Union on Wednesday, and at Skidmore on Saturday.
