NEWBURGH, N.Y. - The Bard College women's swimming team opened the 2022-23 season at Mount St. Mary College on Friday night.

Olivia Dower won the 200-IM, Yolanda Liu won the 100-fly, and Una Winn took first in the 100-free.

"The entire team showed fantastic heart tonight," Bard coach John Weitz said. "In their first official competition of the year, we learned a lot about where we are and what we have to do to reach our goals.

"Una Winn swam and amazing 100-free, almost two seconds faster than she was in last week's scrimmage," Weitz added. "She pulled out a win in a very close race."

Bard jumps right back in the pool on Saturday, traveling to the Sarah Lawrence Sprint Carnival on Saturday.
