MIDDLEBURY, Vt. - The Bard College men's indoor track team competed at the Middlebury Invitational on Saturday.
"This is the part of the season where we do more teaching, and the athletes learn," Bard coach Billy Poole-Harris said. "This week of training and next we will be racing and competing on tired legs and bodies, so we're methodically going through the motions. Bard is gearing up for championship season at the end of February, that was our mindset going into the meet today in Vermont."

"Our men today dropped some respectable times in their events," Poole-Harris said. "
Jack Keelan came up short in his pursuit to go sub 2 in the 800 meters, but today a fire was lit. We had a lot of season debuts and I was pleased with how they managed the pressure and the competition.
Angel Ramirez continues to fight for every second in the 200 meters and 400 meters. Azal Kassem gets the award for courage. Azal competed with fire and passion in three events all in the span of 2 hours and 45 minutes! This squad is new to track and field, however are veterans when it comes to competing."
Up next for Bard is the NYC DIII Invitational at The Armory on Friday.
