ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - The Bard College men's soccer team shut out St. Joseph's-Brooklyn, 3-0, on Saturday. It is Bard's third straight win.
The Raptors dominated possession throughout the game and held the Bears without a corner kick or even a shot on goal.
"It's incredible that we didn't allow a corner or a shot on goal," Bard coach
TJ Kostecky said. "I'm not a statistical guy, but I don't remember being in a game where my team defended this well. We were relentless defensively for 90 minutes."
Sulayman Jaiteh scored just before halftime to give the Raptors a 1-0 lead into the break, while
Caleb Ribeiro and
Joey Carbone scored in the second half. Jaiteh was one of a large group of subs.
"I've never subbed seven guys in one half in my life," Kostecky said. "And there's no change in quality out there. In this case, it led to another goal. To have players that come in a provide energy and performance is terrific."
The Raptors will go for four wins in a row at home on Wednesday night against Cazenovia.
