NEW YORK, N.Y. - The Bard College women's track team opened the indoor portion of the season at The College of New Jersey Winter Opener on Saturday, an event hosted at the historic Armory.

"Today was a very solid day for the Raptors," Bard coach Billy Poole-Harris said. "First indoor meet for most of this new team, as some are transitioning from other sports. There is a lot of learning going on with this group and they are willing to put the time in during practice."
Hawra Moochhala placed 21st in the 300, and Madeline Chilton took 30th. Rachael Yoder placed seven in the 600.
"We had a ton of school records tonight starting with the 300Â
Hawra Moochhala with a time of 47.31," Poole-Harris said. "Also on the women's side Rachael Yoder established the school mark in the 600 with a 1:48.08,
Claire Dickson also had a school record in the 1000 with a time of 3:28.10, and finally the indoor 4x4 record was establish with a time of 4:32.98 runners consisted of Rachael Yoder,
Hawra Moochhala, Madeline Chilton and
Claire Dickson.
"This is going to be a very fun team to coach this season," Poole-Harris added. "They have heart, passion a willingness to learn and motivated. It was a great day to be a Bardian."
Bard will next compete at the Spartan Invitational hosted by Saint Thomas Aquinas College on Jan. 14.
