First-year Gabrielle Parchment broke the school record in the 60 meters on Saturday as the Bard College women's track and field team competed at the West Point Tune Up. 

Parchment surpassed teammate Jynaiya Grizzle by 0.06 seconds and smashed her personal record of 9.10 seconds down to 8.88 seconds. Parchment also broke her personal best in the 200 meters by more than 2 seconds. 

All Raptors either ran a personal best or competed at an event for the first time in their collegiate career. Hawra Moochhala and Chloe Desautels were both in the podium in the 500m as Moochhala placed 2nd, followed by Desautels. 

Bard will head to St. Lawrence next week for the Liberty League Indoor Championships, starting on Friday.
