ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - The Bard College women's basketball team lost to Rochester Institute of Technology, 78-50, in the Liberty League opener for both teams on Friday night.

Bard got 19 points and seven rebounds from Christina Kiser - back from injury - and 17 points and eight rebounds from Olivia Couture.

"It was great having our fearless leader back on the floor," Bard coach Casi Donelan said. "Christina Kiser is one of the toughest women I've ever coached. I loved watching Maggy Peyton battled with RIT's bigs and she held her own. And Olivia has given us back to back solid games."

Bard is right back on the court on Saturday, hosting Ithaca at 2.

"If we can clean up our turnovers and transition defense," Donelan said, "we are going to catch somebody ... or somebodies."
