Bard coach John Weitz was pleased with the effort.

"Our women were very short handed today, but really swam hard," Weitz said. "We really had a fun meet. This gave some new swimmers a chance to step into the spotlight."

Highlights included Una Winn's third place finish in the 50-free and Shannon O'Neill's third place in the 100-IM.

"Lis Forsyth's 1000 was fantastic," Weitz said. "We worked for the last two weeks on her pacing 40-second 50's and she was under that for the entire race. It was the first time she has swum it in over five years and she really surprised herself. Enlik Tagasheva was also a real highlight.  Swimming in her first swim meet ever, her two races really fired up everybody."

Bard next competes at Sarah Lawrence on Thursday.
