Raptors downed by Ithaca

ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - The Bard College women's volleyball team lost to Ithaca College, 3-0, in a Liberty League game on Friday night.

Set scores for the Bombers were 25-9, 25-16 and 25-17.

"I'm really proud of the fight our team put up against Ithaca and the fearlessness they showed," Bard coach Stefanie Carrington said. "Our attackers stayed really aggressive against the team that leads the league in blocking, and our defense was relentless against some really big arms. It's been fun to watch our student-athletes prove to themselves what they're capable of in each match we play, and it has me really excited for the future of the program and the continued potential for growth."

Bard got four kills and 11 digs from Ryan Lum and 13 assists from Adi David.

"Our offense was powered by an assortment of players but Emily Smith was particularly dynamic on the outside," Carrington said. "Ryan Lum had another really solid all around game and put up significant contributions in kills, digs, and from behind the service line. Adi David was really smart in the way she ran our offense and made some really impressive quick reactions and decisions."

Bard's final Liberty League match of the season will be played at home against RIT on Saturday at 2.
