ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - A 23-4 run in the third quarter broke open a close game, and the Skidmore College women's basketball team went on to defeat Bard College, 75-34, in a Liberty League contest on Saturday afternoon.
Neither team shot the ball particularly well in the first quarter, and Skidmore held a six-point lead entering the second quarter. Both offenses found some traction in the second quarter, Skidmore outscoring Bard 19-14 over those 10 minutes, and it was 32-21 at halftime.
Bard cut the deficit to nine early in the third quarter, but the Thoroughbreds responded with 21 straight points to make it 55-25 after three.
The visitors had five players score in double figures, led by Jessica Centore (Milford, CT), who finished with 17 points, four rebounds, three steals and two assists.

Christina Kiser.
Caleigh DeCaprio hit a pair of three-pointers and finished with 10 points and three rebounds.
