POTSDAM, N.Y. - Looking to get back in the win column to close out their seven-game road trip, the Bard College women's basketball team fell by a score of 75-20 to Clarkson University Saturday afternoon.
 
The Golden Knights (7-11, 3-9 LL) came out strong and took an early lead following a pair of three pointers, then closed out the first quarter on a 7-0 run, with Elaina Porter (Gouverneur, N.Y.) scoring five straight to put Clarkson ahead 16-4 after the first.
 
The home team kept up the pressure in the second, allowing the Raptors (5-13, 0-12 LL) just six points in the quarter. The Golden Knights took a 42-10 lead into the half, with junior forward Katie Esposito leading the way for Bard with six first half points.
 
The Raptors got back-to-back baskets from Esposito and freshman forward Marissa Munsell to open up the third quarter, but Clarkson once again took control, going on an 11-0 run to extend their lead, and coasted through the fourth quarter en route to a strong victory in conference play.
 
Esposito led the Raptors on the night with 12 points while also grabbing four rebounds, and Munsell picked up six points and three rebounds.
 
The Raptors now return home to take on Vassar College Friday, Feb. 7, with game time scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
