POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - The Bard College men's soccer team lost to Vassar College, 3-0, in the Liberty League opener for both teams on Saturday afternoon.
Vassar (4-3-1, 1-0-0 Liberty League) had the better of the possession from early in the game, and the pressure resulted in goal in the 14th minute. A cross from Garrett Lusk (Arlington, VA) was headed in from the center of the box by Hawkins Barratt Heitmann (Cutchogue, NY).

Logan Leppo made a great diving save off a direct kick from Barratt Heitmann, but Owen Fauth (Keene, NH) collected the rebound and scored from the doorstep to make it 2-0. Shots were 15-1 in favor at Vassar at halftime.
Ryan Lane (Santa Monica, CA) scored the final goal of the game in the 62nd minute, after Leppo punched out a cross. Lane collected the ball at the top of the box and blasted a low shot that glanced off Leppo and in.
Leppo finished with nine saves for Bard (1-6-0, 0-1-0).
