ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - The Bard College women's lacrosse team cruised to a victory over Southern Vermont College, 23-2, on Saturday afternoon.
It was the largest margin of victory in the history of the program.
The Raptors (2-1) scored four times in the first five minutes, led 7-0 after 10 minutes, and it was 15-0 at halftime. The Mountaineers (0-2) were held without a shot in the first half.
For the game, Bard outshot Southern Vermont 44-3.
Caleigh DeCaprio led Bard with six goals and two assists.
Melissa Rosenthal added five goals, two assists, and eight draw controls.
Nicole Ellin produced three goals and six assists; Dyland McDonald had three goals and four ground balls;
Casey Witte and
Gillian Adkins each scored twice, Witte collected four draws and Adkins led the team with five ground balls.
Emily Levine and
Emma Heffron each scored single goals.
