ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - The Bard College women's lacrosse team lost to Clarkson University, 17-4, in a Liberty League game on Saturday afternoon.
Clarkson (3-4, 1-1 Liberty League) scored four goals in the first three minutes and never looked back. It was 6-0 when Bard got on the board on its first shot on goal,
Caleigh DeCaprio scoring on an assist from
Nicole Ellin, but it was 9-1 at halftime.Â
The Golden Knights dominated draw controls (9-2) in the first half, and outshot the Raptors, 23-8.
Clarkson outscored Bard 8-3 in the second half.
The guests got five goals from freshman Mia Petrone (Penfield, NY). Aubrey Borgesi (Orchard Park, NY) added three goals and five draw controls.
DeCaprio scored twice for Bard (4-3, 0-2).
Melissa Rosenthal and
Dylan McDonald added single goals. Rosenthal and
Rachael Yoder had three draw controls apiece, while Rosenthal and McDonald collected four ground balls each.
Izabel Kickner made 10 saves.
