Trevorrow scores first career goal as Raptors play to 1-1 tie at Cobleskill

COBLESKILL, N.Y. - Playing in their final non-conference match of the season, the Bard College men's soccer team played to a 1-1 draw at SUNY Cobleskill Wednesday afternoon.

The two teams traded opportunities throughout the first half, but it was the Fighting Tigers (7-4-4) that broke through with the first goal of the game, as Emile Wvaza (Manhattan, N.Y.) scored in the 21st minute to put the home team ahead 1-0. The Raptors (1-12-2) got four shots off in the first half, but could not beat Cobleskill goalkeeper John Gergen (Greenville, N.Y.), sending the visitors to the intermission still trailing by one.

The Fighting Tigers had multiple chances to extend their lead in the second half, but junior goalkeeper Logan Leppo kept them off the board, making seven saves in the final 45 minutes.

In the 66th minute, freshman midfielder Coe Trevorrow was awarded a penalty kick and scored the first goal of his collegiate career to tie the game at one. Neither team was able to score the game winner in regulation, sending the game to overtime.

Leppo made two saves for the Raptors in the overtime period, and Bard couldn't convert on their two shot attempts. The teams were set to play a second 10-minute overtime period, but the match was called due to darkness, bringing it to an end in a 1-1 tie.

The Raptors return to the field Saturday, Oct. 26, when they return to conference play at Hobart College, with kickoff scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
