POTSDAM, N.Y. - The Bard College women's basketball team lost to Clarkson University, 71-43, in a Liberty League game on Saturday afternoon.
The Golden Knights got off to a fast start, hitting four three-pointers in the first quarter. A 14-0 run that bridged the first and second quarters expanded Clarkson's lead, and the hosts led, 40-17, at halftime. Bard hung tough in the second half, but the Raptors never really closed the gap.
Kati Gotch (Rome, NY) led Clarkson with 15 points and 12 rebounds. The Golden Knights are 5-6 overall, 2-3 in the Liberty League.
Bard (4-5, 0-4) got 26 points from freshman
Christina Kiser, including 17 in the second half. She added six rebounds.
Olivia Couture went 3-for-4 from beyond the arc for nine points, and
Jess Rylander added six points and a team-high 12 rebounds.
