Raptors fall to No. 20 Ithaca College

ITHACA, N.Y. - The Bard College women's lacrosse team lost to 20th-ranked Ithaca College Friday afternoon in a Liberty League matchup.

The score was 22-0. 

With the defeat, the Raptors dropped to 3-8 overall and 0-7 in league play. The Bombers of Ithaca College meanwhile, improved to 10-4 and 7-1.

Ithaca took control quickly, scoring four times in the first three minutes of the game. As the first half progressed, the Bombers' offense continued to pour in goals, taking a 16-0 advantage into halftime.

Bard was outshot 33-6 overall and 28-5 on goal. The Raptors went 8-for-18 on clear attempts, won six draw controls and picked up 13 ground balls in the effort.

Jade Waring led Bard with four ground balls, while Melissa Rosenthal won four draw controls and collected two ground balls.

Nicole Ellin and Molly Woolery each caused two turnovers on defense.

Elizabeth Rice (Portsmouth, NH) led the Bombers with eight points (7g, 1a) and was one of 11 players to score at least a goal in the win.
