ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - Bard College senior
Elena LeFevre, playing in the final few games of her college career, has apparently saved her best for last.
After matching her previous game-high in scoring earlier this season, LeFevre scored a career-high 21 points in Saturday's loss to William Smith, as the scrappy Raptors went down, 67-48, in a Liberty League game.
William Smith (7-9 Liberty League, 13-10 overall) made six three-pointers in the first half and led, 47-25, at halftime. But Bard (0-16, 0-22) outscored William Smith, 21-20, in the second half.
Mia Morrison, a junior who eclipsed the 1,000-point barrier on Friday night at Skidmore, led the Herons on Saturday with 17 points in 18 minutes. Emma Gallagher (Redding, CT) added 14 points and six assists.
LeFevre went 7-for-15 from the field, including a three-pointer, and 6-for-8 from the foul line to account for her 21 points.
Sarah Morris added nine points and four rebounds, and
Katie Esposito had seven points and six rebounds.
LeFevre will play in her final home game on Monday, when the Raptors host Purchase College in a non-league game. Follow it live right here.
