MAHWAH, N.J. - The Bard College men's volleyball team lost to Ramapo College, 3-0, in a non-league match on Saturday morning.
The hosts swept the Raptors 25-8, 25-16 and 25-23.
The Roadrunners hit .329 and produced 40 kills, six aces and five total blocks. Junior middle hitter Brenden Russell (South Plainfield, NJ) led Ramapo with seven kills and he hit .545. Jason Van Der Wilt (Maywood, NJ) added six kills and six digs. Lucas Inglis (Colts Neck, NJ) had 35 assists, and the Roadrunners improved to 3-4 overall.
Bard (0-8) got five kills, nine digs, three assists and two aces from
Tyler Zowaski.
Stefan Briggs added five kills and six digs,
Josh Kim had nine assists, and
Tristan Kozul had eight digs.
Bard's weekend road trip continues on Sunday. The Raptors will be at Elmira College, where they will play Elmira and Misericordia. The Elmira match is Bard's United Volleyball Conference opener for 2018.
