Raptors breeze past Pratt Institute

ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. - The Bard College women's basketball team cruised to an easy win Sunday afternoon, topping Pratt Institute, 74-38, in a non-conference matchup. 

The win pushed the Raptors to 3-1 on the year, while the Cannoneers of Pratt dropped to 1-1.

Christina Kiser started the afternoon with a three pointer to put Bard in front early, as the hosts scored the first 10 points in the game and never looked back.

After 10 minutes of play, the Raptors led 27-5. Bard continued to dominate much of the afternoon, carrying a 43-13 advantage into halftime.

The Raptors' hustle powered the hosts to the win Sunday, as Bard finished with 57 rebounds (26 offensive) to Pratt's 36. The Raptors also forced 30 turnovers, scored 38 points off the turnovers and added 18 points on second chance opportunities. 

Individually, Kiser led Bard with 31 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and four steals. Caleigh DeCaprio chipped in 12 points and six rebounds, while Jess Rylander added nine points and seven rebounds for the hosts.

For Pratt, Emily Guerra (Babylon, NY) finished with 17 points, 12 rebounds, four blocks and three steals.
