Women's swimming sets five records in loss to St. Lawrence

CANTON, N.Y. - The Bard College women's swimming team set five program records Saturday, as St. Lawrence University topped Bard in the head-to-head meet.

Abigail Townend set a personal record, a program record and placed first in the 200-back with a time of 2:21.72. The captain also broke her own record in the 1000-free by shaving three seconds of her mark with a time of 12:21.97.

Freshman Natasha Cameron etched her mark on the record books, as she broke the 100 and 200-breast times during the same race. Her times for each were 1:20.57 and 2:49.25 respectively.

Fellow freshman Sarah Soucek also got in on the record action, as she crushed the previous 200-fly time with a 2:31.60 finish.

Up next for the Raptors is a home meet with Purchase College on November 15th. The meet is set to begin at 6 p.m. and you can follow it here.
